Solar Fuels HUB

Create a Solar HUB at the University of Messina - Laboratory CASPE (Italy) is part of the project SCOOP (Novel Solar cells for solar-to-hydrogen COntinuOus Production; FISA-2022-00277 funded by the Italian Minister for University and Research - MUR; Lead by S. Perathoner).

However, also other projects participate to this objective and it will be made in collaboration with the centre CASPE and associated Institutions.

The Solar Fuels Hub has the mission to a) showcase the results to the public and perform actions of dissemination and communication for different targets (the scientific community, companies and other stakeholders, and the public and society), and b) analyse the exploitability of the technologies and its market perspectives, defining eventually one or more business cases and especially an exploitation plan. It will be the place of the prototype units developed by the CASPE centre in the frame of SCOOP and other project.

The main objective of the hub is to promote solar fuel technologies to public and stakeholders, as well as public authorities to demonstrate the possibilities offered by the technology to accelerate the transformation to a carbon-neutral future.
